Russell Walter Jahn, 88, of Pleasant Grove passed away peacefully August 20, 2016 after having lived a long and full life centered around his family. Russell was born June 30, 1928 in Westford, Wisconsin to Walter Frank and Edith Schmidt Jahn. He married Beverly Jane Gleason on June 14, 1952 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake City Temple on July 30, 1963.\n\nRussell grew up in Fox Lake, Wisconsin and attended schools there. After high school he enlisted in the U S Army and served proudly for 22 years. While stationed at Ft. Douglas in Salt Lake City, he met and married his sweetheart Beverly. Some of the places Russell served were in Japan, Korea and many assignments in the States. After retirement from the military, Russell owned and operated several businesses in Wasatch and Utah Counties.\n\nHe is survived by his four children: Diana (Ed) Driskill, Lewiston, ID; Paul Jahn, Salt Lake City; Pamela (Greg) Wright, Stafford, VA and Michael (Alaina) Jahn, Pleasant Grove; 13 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Beverly; siblings: Ruby Hoefs, Raymond Jahn and Edwin Lawrence Jahn.\n\nFuneral services will be held Friday, August 26, 2016 at 11:00 am in the LDS Ward Chapel, 905 North 500 West, Pleasant Grove where family and friends may attend a viewing from 9:00-10:45 am prior to services. Interment will be in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery under the direction of Olpin Family Mortuary, Pleasant Grove with military honors conducted by American Legion Post 72.
