Ryan was born on December 19, 1986 in Westlake, Ohio to Lawrence Alan and Laurie Burkinshaw Baker. He is the third of seven children.\n\nHe had a special gift to connect with people and make life enjoyable.\n\nRyan earned the Eagle Scout award. He loved to play sports and was a good worker and good student. He played the piano and sang in the school choir. In high school he ran track and cross country, and qualified for State in the 800 meter.\n\nRyan served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to Donetsk, Ukraine where he learned to speak the Russian language beautifully.\n\nHe was an Honor Graduate Airman in the US Air Force. He was drawn to the Air Force core values which are: "Integrity first, Service before self, and Excellence in all we do."\n\nRyan worked as both a finance and sales manager in the Garff Group. He enjoyed what he did and was exceptional at it.\n\nHe loved to ride his Harley. Ryan was very protective of his family and was a loving, compassionate, and gentle father.\n\nRyan could out-run, out-jump, out-shoot, out-fight, out-talk, and out-cuss any man alive.\n\nHe died on January 26, 2016 from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. His family expresses deep gratitude for his caregivers since the time of his accident.\n\nFuneral services will be held Saturday, January 30, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the UVU Institute North Chapel, 785 College Drive, Orem.
