Sharon Uda Jones, of Lindon, UT passed away peacefully at her home on April 30th, 2016 after a short battle with Acute Lupus followed by kidney and liver failure. She was surrounded by her husband, children and grandchildren at her passing. She was 66.\n\nShe is survived by her husband Randall; children: Jennifer, Joanna (Jeremy), David (Lacey), Erika (Dustin), Matthew, Michael (Anita); her beloved 12 grandchildren and 4 fur babies: Molly, Piper, Muffin and Gidget. She was preceded in death by her parents: Masao and Irene Uda and a brother, Lowell Uda.\n\nSharon was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on November 23rd, 1949. The 6th of 7 children, Sharon was a shy yet spunky girl and a tomboy at heart. She met her future husband when she was 13. He was 17 and would pull her pigtails and tease her. She didn't fall for him until they reconnected at BYU Provo. She always said, "Be careful who you hate at BYU." Because she ended up marrying him. That union brought about 6 beautiful, extremely stubborn children and 12 headstrong grandchildren. So far...\n\nSharon studied Child Development/Family Relations at BYU. She loved her kids and would spend hours taking the time to listen to us no matter how tired she was. Sharon also loved traveling from town to town selling at street festivals and county fairs. Everyone loved her because she took time to get to know people, would play with the kids who bought her novelty toys, and loved being able to give things away to deserving customers whenever she felt they needed it. She always had a fun spirit. Giving was her motto and she frequently said it was because her name is Share-on.\n\nFuneral services will be held Friday, May 6, 2016 at 11:00 am in the Olpin Family Mortuary Chapel, 494 South 300 East, Pleasant Grove where family and friends may attend a viewing from 9:30-10:45 am prior to services.
