Shaunna Pesnell Naylor, age 55, left her earthly home on September 6, 2017 and returned to the presence of her Heavenly Father. She passed away peacefully in her home after suffering from health issues.\n\nShe was born on December 19, 1961 in Waco, Texas, to Don and Norma Gregory Pesnell, the middle of 7 children. She lived for a short time in Turkey while her father was stationed there with the Air Force. Her father retired, settling in West Point, UT where she lived until her marriage. Shaunna was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She married her eternal companion, Peter Naylor on August 7, 1987 and had four children. During her marriage, she moved to Ft Worth, TX, then to Yokota AB, Japan, San Bernardino, CA then finally settling in Pleasant Grove where her husband retired from the Air Force.\n\nShaunna was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served a full-time mission in Sacramento, California from 1983 to 1984. She had several callings, teaching Primary, an advisor with the Young Women, and Councilor in the Relief Society Presidency.\n\nShe attended Ricks College and worked for Intermountain Health Care and Alpine School District.\n\nShaunna is survived by her husband Peter Naylor of Pleasant Grove, children Amber and her Husband Josh Reynolds of Orem, Carli and her husband Nick Petrie of Pleasant Grove, Katelyn and her husband Stephen Leggett of Pleasant Grove, and Ryan and her husband Cyrus Penrod of Pleasant Grove, her parents Don and Norma Pesnell of West Point, her sisters, Gayla Pesnell, Lisa Smith, Tammy Lloyd, Nona Blotter, Tanya Nichols, and brother Tye Pesnell, along with their spouses, many nieces and nephews, as well as 12 grandchildren.\n\nFuneral services will be held Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the LDS Battle Creek Fifth Ward Chapel, located at 825 Loader Drive, Pleasant Grove, Utah. Viewings will be Tuesday evening, September 12, 2017 from 6 - 8 p.m. at Olpin Family Mortuary, 494 S 300 East, Pleasant Grove, Utah and on Wednesday morning from 9 - 10:45 a.m. prior to the services at the church.
