Sommer Chris Johnson, 31, of Pleasant Grove passed away Saturday, June 25, 2016. She was born January 15, 1985 in Heber City, Utah to Chris Johnson and Jean Mary Strebig.\n\nSommer grew up in Pleasant Grove and attended schools there. Sommer was 12 when she first started modeling and participating in pageants. She enjoyed dancing and traveling with different dance companies and modeling. She won the Miss Utah Teen Intercontinental Pageant. Sommer later won the Hawaiian Tropic Overall Grand Supreme Pageant and the International Teen Miss Hawaiian Tropic Pageant. She worked as a General Manager at Albertson's Grocery Store on Orem Center Street for many years.\n\nShe was devoted mother and had two children: Hayden Neeley and Morgan Rushton. Morgan passed away in 2013.\n\nSommer is survived by her son Hayden; father, Chris (Laurie) Johnson, Pleasant Grove; three brothers: David (Peggy) Bull, Jens (Chelsea) Helquist and Jacob McNeill and grandmother, Elaine Olson, Pleasant Grove.\n\nShe was preceded in death by her mother, her daughter, her sister, Morgan and grandfather, David Olson.\n\nFuneral services will be held Thursday, June 30, 2016 at 11:00 am in the Olpin Family Mortuary Chapel, 494 South 300 East, Pleasant Grove where family and friends may attend a viewing from 9:00-10:45 am prior to services.
