Our beloved Stephen Michael Weidner passed away naturally on Sept. 13, 2015. He was born on June 6, 1940, in Portland, Oregon, to Leo Elias and Frances C. Weidner, the youngest of four sons. He graduated Grover Cleveland High School in 1958. He then enlisted in the United States Navy. He was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1961, and served a mission in Australia a year later. He then attended Brigham Young University, earning his bachelor's degree in 1966. He married Cathryn Roundy in November of 1968 in the Manti Temple. They had 5 daughters before going separate ways in 1985. He married SuAnn Taylor in May 1997 in the Mt. Timpanogos Temple.\n\nSteve lived in Florida, California, and Utah overseeing the operations of his businesses. He was a philanthropist, and gave generously of his time and treasure to all causes close to his heart and to those in need of his help. He served in several callings in the church as this was at the heart of who he was. Gospel and family were what he loved most.\n\nHe is survived by his wife SuAnn, his daughters, Wendy (Russell) Bjerke of Gilbert, Arizona, Jennifer (Kyle) Hinton and Rebecca (Adam) Bronson of Cedar City, Jessica (Samuel) Kennedy of Atlanta, Georgia, and Cassandra Weidner of Chicago, Illinois. SuAnn's children, Phillip (Lindsey) Beagley of Queen Creek, Arizona, Melissa (Kevin) Molett of Orem, Tyler (Eliza) Beagley of Syracuse, Brandon Beagley of Provo, and Justin (Amy) Beagley of North Salt Lake, and his brothers Leo (Shirley) Weidner of Provo, Bruce of Eden, and Roger of Portland, many nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.\n\nFuneral services will be held Friday, September 18, 2015 at11:00 a.m. in the Alpine North Stake Center, 1125 E. Alpine Blvd., Alpine, Utah with a viewing from 9:30am -10:45 a.m. prior to the services. Interment will be in the Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 17111 S Camp Williams Rd, Riverton, Utah. with military honors preformed.\n\nCondolences may be sent to the family at www.olpinmortuary.com.
