Summer Bissegger Medford, 37, of Orem passed away Monday, November 2, 2015. She was born December 21, 1977 in American Fork to Kevin and Teresa Melendez Bissegger.\n\nSummer grew up Provo and Orem and attended schools there. Summer was a competitive swimmer and received state awards with her relay teams. She received her Associates degree in Law Enforcement at UVU. Summer was quit-witted and clever and always had the ability to make people smile with her sunny disposition. Summer was always a champion for the underdog and tried to help so many people during her life.\n\nShe is survived by her son, Noah K. Bissegger; her mother, Teresa Bissegger, Pleasant Grove; grandmother, Lois Melendez, Pleasant Grove, sister, Lacy Kassuhn and many numerous loving extended family. She was preceded in death by her father, Kevin Bissegger; her grandmother, Barbara Bissegger Freeman and her grandfather, Louis Melendez.\n\nGraveside services will be held Saturday, November 7, 2015 at 12:00 noon in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery. Family and friends may attend a viewing at Olpin Family Mortuary, 494 South 300 East, Pleasant Grove from 9:30-11:30 am prior to the graveside services.
