Tera Mae Benson Obituary (1971

Tera Mae Benson, 46, of Lehi passed away Monday, October 30, 2017. She was born March 26, 1971 in Provo, Utah to Gary Dale and Nettie Mae Thompson. She grew up and attended school in Orem. After high school she worked for Pacific Bridge. Maple Lanes and Walker Quick Stop. During this time Tera was a single mother to her son Justin when she met her sweetheart Doug and they were married August 29, 1995. . She also became a stepmother to Dougs six children from two previous marriages. They later completed their family with the addition of their son Nick and daughter Sierra Tera enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved going on drives to all of the beautiful destinations throughout Utah and she loved going to and watching Utah Jazz games. She was also a big Nascar fan. Most of her adult life was spent as a caretaker to her dear parents until her own health struggles began. She is survived by her husband Doug, her children: Justin, Nick and Sierra, her six stepchildren: Matthew (Tiffany) Benson, James (Cammi) Benson, Andrew (Leisa) Benson, Lisa (Lee) Hanson, Kimberly Benson and Brooke Benson. Brothers: Scott Thompson and Gary Thompson. 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, and two sisters: Barbara Gourdin and Jackie Thompson. A celebration of life will be held Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the Olpin Family Mortuary Chapel, 494 South 300 East, Pleasant Grove.
