Vance Jackson Thomas Obituary (1938

Vance Jackson Thomas beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, passed away at his home surrounded by loved ones Wednesday, August 13, 2014, after a valiant fight with brain cancer. He was born to Jack Thomas and June Lerwill on July 24, 1938 in Wyoming. He married RaeDean Johnson on July 15, 1966 in Payson, Utah. He was an Airman in the United States Air Force for eight years serving overseas in Taiwan, England, Greece and on a Strategic Air Command sight in St. George Utah. After his military career, he was employed at Signetics in the Orem plant for 23 years as a Maintenance Tech. He is survived by his wife RaeDean (Rae) Thomas, Highland; his son Russell Jackson (Daphne) Thomas, Lindon and their sons: Kamron and Hunter; his daughter Dena Thomas, Highland and her sons: William and Jackson; great grandson Kai; brother, John (Barbara) Lerwill, Payson; four sisters: Paula (Sterling) Spencer, Santaquin; Shari Johnson, Provo; Jeanni Lee, Orem; Pepper (Darrell) Penrod, Benjamin and "Best Work Buddy Ever", Roy (Naiyana) Harrison, American Fork. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jay Cadoret and his youngest son, Kristopher Vance Thomas. Funeral services will be held Monday, August 18, 2014 at 11:00 am in the Olpin Family Mortuary Chapel, 494 South 300 East, Pleasant Grove where family and friends may attend a viewing one hour prior to services.
