Wanda Faye Scarborough, 76, of Lindon passed away peacefully Wednesday, June 7, 2017 surrounded by her friends and family. She was born August 5, 1940 in Dixon, KY to Howard Blackwood and Vamie Wilson.\n\nFaye grew up in Dixon, Kentucky surrounded by her 6 sisters and 1 brother and was very outgoing with her classmates. She had the nickname "Teddy Bear". She started her family early having her first daughter, Debbie in 1958 and then Angie in 1961. She had a son, Bernie in 1966 and settled in Louisville, Kentucky. She decided to get a nursing degree in 1970 while raising her family with her husband, Bernice. Unfortunately he passed away in 1973. She remarried in 1974 and again in 1980. In 1979, after a long search for truth and having visited many different churches and faiths, she gained a testimony of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ and joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she remained faithful until her passing this week.\n\nShe was married to David Stewart, Bernice DeMoss, Larry W White and Robert E. Scarborough. She is survived by her three children: Debbie Cary, Angie Dunaway, and Bernie DeMoss; 13 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren and her sister, Martha Blackwood Wolfe.\n\nShe was preceded in death by her parents and brother and 4 other sisters and three of her husbands (David, Bernice and Robert).\n\nShe enjoyed collecting items such as clocks, lamps, dolls, Christmas decorations, wicker made items, and various figurines. She also enjoyed service in her primary and nursery callings in the Lindon 12th ward for over 20 years. She also loved her dogs Molly, Candy and Khandi and the strong fellowship she had with ward members.\n\nFuneral services will be held Monday, June 12, 2017 at 11:00 am in Lindon Ward 12th Chapel, 325 Canal Dr, Lindon UT 84042. Family and friends are invited to attend the viewing Monday morning 9:30 - 10:45 am prior to the services at 11:00 am. Interment will be in the Lindon City Cemetery.
