William James Savage, A.K.A. "Grampa Cookie", 92, of West Valley City returned to his heavenly home on April 6, 2015. He was born November 7, 1922 to Herbert and Magaret Savage. He was one of a kind and we will miss his stories. We know he is with his wife Nelma, dog Sport and is free from pain.\n\nSurvived by his sons; Blaine, Dennis (Joyce), grandchildren; Chandra (Travis) Richins, Weston (Darcy), Carter, Telesa (Jason) Hortin, Shanna (Jeramy) Burkinshaw and Clint, including Kim and Susanne and their mother Sheila and 10 Great grandchildren. We cannot forget Colie, his favorite dog.\n\nWaiting to meet him was his grandson Brandon.\n\nSincere appreciation to those who loved and helped him so much. Especially to Jo, Pat and Elaine. They were the light of his final years and made his life worth living.\n\nFuneral services will be held Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 2 p.m. in the Granger Ward Chapel, 2850 West 3835 South, West Valley City, Utah with a viewing from 12:30 - 1:45 p.m. prior to the services. Family and friends may also attend an evening viewing on Friday night from 7 - 8 p.m. also at the church.
